Who we are

REEDefined is founded by two accomplished engineering students with extensive musical backgrounds and complementary technical skills.

Raahi Vyas, Founder, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Virginia. He brings substantial technical expertise, including proficiency in Fusion 360 for 3D modeling, Bambu Lab Studio for 3D printing management, and Python programming certification from the University of Michigan. His musical credentials are equally impressive: seven years of instruction on B-flat clarinet, with four consecutive years ranking in the All-Virginia Band and Orchestra, including a second-place finish in 2025. He also possesses three years of experience on tenor saxophone and seven years on piano. Currently, Raahi performs with the Charlottesville Symphony at the University of Virginia, a professional orchestra comprising UVA music faculty and accomplished local musicians. This combination of engineering expertise and professional-level musical experience positions him to design products that meet the exacting standards of serious musicians.

Griffith Knowlton, Co-Founder, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He holds certification in industrial machinery use from Virginia Tech and possesses technical proficiency in MATLAB. His musical background spans eight years of saxophone performance across all saxophone types, with experience in marching arts, jazz, and classical music. He achieved two consecutive years of selection to the All-Virginia District XII Band and currently performs with the Virginia Tech Wind Ensemble, a competitive audition-based student wind ensemble. Additionally, Griffith holds a pilot's license, demonstrating his technical aptitude and attention to detail. His diverse musical experience across multiple genres positions him to guide REEDefined's expansion beyond classical music into jazz and contemporary markets.
